Drive 40 km a day, six days a week, and a small petrol hatchback like a Suzuki Swift burns about 15 litres, roughly Rs 5,700 at October 2026 prices. The same 240 km in an MG Binguo EV, charged at home, uses about 48 units, or around Rs 2,600. That gap is the whole argument for this car.

The MG Binguo EV price in Pakistan is Rs 5,699,000 as of October 2026, after MG cut it by Rs 300,000 in May. It's a compact hatchback with a 31.9 kWh battery, developed by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) in China and sold here by MG Pakistan together with JW SEZ. It was made for city errands, school runs and the commute. It wasn't made for the motorway, and it's fairest to judge it on that basis, so this guide follows the car through ownership, from the showroom to the electricity bill.

At the showroom, the MG Binguo EV price in Pakistan

MG revealed the Binguo at Rs 5,999,000 in December 2025, with bookings at Rs 1.2 million (PakWheels, December 2025; Business Recorder, December 2025). Deliveries were due to start in March 2026, with the balance payable 30 days before delivery (PKRevenue, December 2025).

On 18 May 2026, the day it launched the MG4 Urban, MG cut the Binguo to Rs 5,699,000 (PakWheels, May 2026; Daily Pakistan, May 2026). PakWheels' listing shows a single variant, the Binguo Pro, at that price ex-factory with a three-month delivery time (PakWheels). We found no later price change up to October 2026.

We couldn't confirm whether Pakistani Binguos are imported fully built or assembled locally, and none of the launch reports say. Ask the dealer.

While you're at the desk, read the warranty carefully. MG's brochure lists two warranties, 8 years or 150,000 km and 5 years or 100,000 km, but its layout makes it hard to tell which applies to the battery. PakWheels reads it as 8 years or 150,000 km for the battery and 5 years or 100,000 km for the rest of the car (PakWheels), which is the usual pattern. Get the battery warranty written on your booking form.

A normal week of school runs and errands

MG quotes 333 km on China's CLTC test, the most generous of the common cycles. PakWheels converts that to roughly 273 km on WLTP (PakWheels, September 2026). Plan at 18 kWh per 100 km, as we do for every compact EV, and the 10–100% you'd normally use gives about 160 km. Real use in a Karachi summer, with the AC running and a sea breeze that doesn't help much, will probably land somewhere between those numbers.

For the city, that's plenty.

Most owners will charge two or three times a week.

MG gives charging times rather than charging power. It quotes 20–100% in about 5.5 hours on AC and 30–80% in about 35 minutes on DC (MG Pakistan brochure; Wuling Indonesia), though MG's own model page gives the same 35 minutes as 10–80%, so treat it as approximate. It doesn't state the onboard AC charger's kW rating for the Pakistani car.

Working backwards, 5.5 hours for that much energy implies the car draws roughly 5 kW on AC. A WapCar report on the Indonesian-market car listed a 3.3 kW charger and about 9.5 hours for a full charge (WapCar), so specs vary by market. Ask the dealer to show you the rating in writing before you spend on a wallbox. A 7 kW unit won't hurt, but the car, not the wallbox, will set the pace.

At about 5 kW, a typical day's 40 km takes roughly 1.5 hours to put back, and 20–80% takes a little over 4 hours. A 2.2 kW portable cable on a normal socket needs about 3.5 hours for the same 40 km, which is fine overnight. Our guide to EV charging time in Pakistan explains the sum.

Think of a two-car household in Gulberg or Clifton where one car does the school run, the grocery trips and a 15 km commute. That job, done in a Binguo charged on the porch overnight, is where it pays off. It's also an easy car to park in tight markets and narrow streets.

If you're in a flat, the slow AC charging matters more, since a top-up away from home takes a while. Two hours on a host's AC charger at roughly 5 kW adds about 50 km. On EVDost, sort host chargers by nearest and find a charger close to where you park. Each listing gives the host's hourly price, and you pay in 10-minute blocks rather than whole hours. Our guide to charging from an apartment covers the rest.

The occasional trip out of town

The bigger limit is speed. The Binguo tops out at 120 km/h, so there's nothing in reserve at motorway speeds, and a small EV loses range fast when held near its maximum. With a 50 kW motor, overtaking a loaded truck on the GT Road also takes planning. It can do an occasional Islamabad to Murree run or a trip out to the Lahore ring road, but if you drive intercity every month, look at something bigger.

On DC, MG's site lists CCS2, the common fast-charging plug in Pakistan. MG's 35-minute figure for 30–80% works out to an average of only about 27 kW. So this isn't a fast charger on wheels, and a 30 kW public unit should do the job almost as well as a 120 kW one.

When the bills arrive

The numbers in the opening rest on three assumptions. We take 18 kWh per 100 km on the road, lose about 10 percent while charging, and pay Rs 55 a unit all-in at home (the charging cost guide shows how that's built up). MG doesn't publish an official consumption figure for the Binguo, and for a car this light 18 is on the cautious side, so your real bills may be lower.

Bar chart of what 240 km of city driving costs in October 2026: MG Binguo EV charged at home about Rs 2,600, Binguo on a public DC charger about Rs 4,970, and a petrol Suzuki Swift at 16 km per litre about Rs 5,670
One week of 40 km a day, six days a week.

On a public DC charger at a typical Rs 115 per kWh, the Binguo costs almost as much per km as the Swift, so it only saves real money if you charge mostly at home. The Swift figure uses PakWheels' 16 km a litre average for the GL CVT (PakWheels) and petrol at Rs 377.71 a litre, the notified price for 24–26 October 2026 (Investify, October 2026), which will probably have moved again within the week.

Over a year of 12,000 km, home charging comes to about Rs 131,000 against about Rs 283,000 for the Swift, a saving of roughly Rs 153,000. There's a catch, though. Driving 1,000 km a month adds about 200 units to your bill. If your house is a protected customer at under 200 units, that status will almost certainly go. Our EV vs petrol cost guide has more on slabs and payback.

Other small EVs between Rs 4 and 7 million

Table of small electric cars in Pakistan in October 2026: Honri VE 3.0 at Rs 4.399 million with 29.9 kWh and 300 km CLTC; Kaiyi E04 at Rs 4.49 to 5.19 million with 28.08 or 39.83 kWh and 300 or 400 km claimed (cycle disputed); Dongfeng Box Smart 330 at Rs 5.5 million with 32.56 kWh and 330 km claimed (no cycle given); MG Binguo EV at Rs 5.699 million with 31.9 kWh and 333 km CLTC; MG4 EV Urban at Rs 6.949 million with 43 kWh and 316 km WLTP
The Binguo's closest rivals by price.

The nearest match is the Dongfeng Box, about Rs 199,000 cheaper with a slightly bigger 32.56 kWh battery, according to PakWheels' September guide. The Honri VE 3.0 costs about Rs 1.3 million less, with a smaller 29.9 kWh pack. The Kaiyi E04 was reported at Rs 3.99 million in July (ProPakistani, July 2026), but that was an introductory offer that ended on 14 August (TechJuice, August 2026). PakWheels now lists it at Rs 4.49 million with a 28.08 kWh battery, or Rs 4.99 million with 39.83 kWh, against an official regular price of Rs 5.19 million for the bigger battery (PakWheels, October 2026; Gari.pk, September 2026).

Spend Rs 1.25 million more and the MG4 EV Urban gives you a bigger car, a 43 kWh battery, 82 kW fast charging and seven airbags. If you do any regular highway driving, that's the one to test-drive next. And if you'd like to see the Binguo against the whole field, from the cheapest city cars to the big SUVs, our roundup of EV prices in Pakistan has every main model.

Where it shines and where it falls short

Running costs and size are where the Binguo shines. Top speed, slow DC charging and the gaps in MG's published specs are where it falls short.

Checklist of MG Binguo EV pros and cons. Good: low running cost at home, LFP battery, compact size for city parking, CCS2 fast charging, disc brakes all round and electronic stability control. Weak: 120 km/h top speed, onboard AC rating not published, real range of roughly 160 to 270 km, slow 35-minute DC charge for a small battery, warranty layout unclear
A quick read before you visit the showroom.

It suits you less if it'll be your only car and you visit family in another city each month, or if you have no parking with a socket.

If the Binguo still sounds right, we'd test-drive it on your own commute, then try the Dongfeng Box the same week, since the two are so close on paper. Get the battery warranty and the onboard charger rating in writing before you pay the booking amount, and if your plans include regular trips out of town, go and look at the MG4 instead.

Frequently asked questions

What is the MG Binguo EV price in Pakistan now?

The MG Binguo EV costs Rs 5,699,000 in Pakistan as of October 2026. MG launched it at Rs 5,999,000 in December 2025 and cut the price by Rs 300,000 on 18 May 2026. PakWheels lists a single variant, the Binguo Pro.

What is the range of the Binguo EV?

MG claims up to 333 km on China's CLTC cycle for the Binguo's 31.9 kWh battery, which PakWheels estimates at about 273 km on WLTP. With summer AC and city traffic, plan on roughly 160 to 270 km depending on conditions, and less at sustained motorway speeds.

How long does the MG Binguo take to charge?

MG quotes about 5.5 hours from 20 to 100 percent on AC and about 35 minutes from 30 to 80 percent on a DC fast charger, as of October 2026. MG hasn't published the onboard AC charger's power, so a bigger wallbox may not shorten the AC time.

Can the Binguo EV go on the motorway?

The MG Binguo EV can use the motorway, but its top speed is 120 km/h and range drops quickly at high speed. It's built for city driving; for regular intercity trips, a bigger EV such as the MG4 Urban is a better fit.

Is the Binguo better than the Dongfeng Box?

The two are close: as of October 2026 the Dongfeng Box Smart 330 is listed at Rs 5.5 million with a 32.56 kWh battery, and the Binguo at Rs 5.699 million with 31.9 kWh. Compare dealer support in your city, the battery warranty in writing and how each drives on your own commute.
