Most plug-in hybrids on sale in Pakistan seat five. The Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV seats seven, and that one fact explains much of the attention it has had since Master Group's Chery Master Pakistan opened bookings in January. The Tiggo 8 PHEV price in Pakistan is Rs 10,999,000 ex-factory in October 2026, under a "limited stock" offer that also includes a 7 kW home charger. That's back to its January launch price, after a year in which the sticker rose to Rs 11.499 million and Chery announced, but then held off, a Rs 12.999 million list price.

That leaves two things to settle before you sign. What does the car really cost today, and how long will that price last? And will your family plug it in often enough for the battery to save money? We'll take them in the order you'd meet them as an owner, starting at the dealership.

The October price and offer come from a sponsored ProPakistani post published on 9 October 2026 (ProPakistani, October 2026), and PakWheels lists the same Rs 10,999,000 on its price page, last updated 17 September 2026 (PakWheels, Tiggo 8). That was the day Chery cut the car from Rs 11,499,000 to Rs 10,999,000, an offer The Pakistan Connect reported as available for a limited time and while stocks last (PakWheels, September 2026; The Pakistan Connect, September 2026). Battery, WLTP range and charging figures are from PakWheels' launch report (PakWheels, January 2026).

The October offer post doesn't give an end date, and the price has changed several times this year, so treat Rs 10.999 million as a snapshot and get it on your booking form.

Table of Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV prices in Pakistan in 2026: Rs 10.999 million announced on 14 January, Rs 11.299 million from 1 February, a Rs 11.499 million promotional rate on 24 July alongside an announced Rs 12.999 million post-promotion price, and a cut back to Rs 10.999 million from Rs 11.499 million on 17 September, repeated in a price-lock offer on 9 October
The price has gone up and back down this year.

Why the price keeps moving

Chery announced an introductory price of Rs 10.999 million on 14 January and opened bookings the next day (PakWheels, January 2026). It went up to Rs 11.299 million from 1 February, with Chery citing the response to bookings, according to a company release carried by Profit (Profit, March 2026). In July, after a rise in sales tax on hybrids, Chery set a post-promotion price of Rs 12.999 million, with a temporary Rs 11.499 million rate for existing customers, subject to stock, until 31 July (Profit, July 2026). The October offer is pitched as a Rs 1.29 million saving on an "original" Rs 12.289 million, a figure that doesn't match Profit's Rs 12.999 million. We couldn't resolve that, and September's price lists show Rs 11.499 million, not Rs 12.999 million, as the price before the cut, so ask the dealer which list price applies after the offer ends.

Tax is part of the story. The SRO of 13 September 2026 (SRO 1525(I)/2026) cut sales tax to 18% for locally made hybrids up to 2,000cc (Mettis Global, September 2026), but reports disagree on whether that covers plug-in hybrids. PakWheels said the SRO didn't mention them and that they stay at 25% (PakWheels, September 2026), while Daily Pakistan listed "Chery/Jaecoo qualifying PHEV models" among the cars now on 18% (Daily Pakistan, September 2026). Chery cut its plug-in prices after the SRO, so ask the dealer which rate your invoice carries and whether the price depends on any later tax change.

The price has also been all over the place, with rises, cuts and offers in ten months and an offer that has no stated end date.

What the money buys: seven seats, two motors and a small battery

Under the skin is Chery's Super Hybrid system, which pairs a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with two electric motors driving all four wheels, for 496 hp and 735 Nm. The October sponsored post quotes 0–100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. One January report gave 543 hp and 830 Nm instead (Daily Pakistan, January 2026), but Chery's own later material and PakWheels both say 496 hp.

The battery is 18.3 kWh, which is small for a car this size. The Tank 500 PHEV carries about twice as much. That keeps the price and weight down, and it means a full charge is quick, but it also caps how far you can go on electricity.

Inside, Chery leans on comfort: a massage function on the front passenger seat, heated and ventilated front seats, a 15.6-inch screen and a 12-speaker Sony system. Safety kit includes 10 airbags and driver-assistance features. Local assembly started in April, when Chery Master Pakistan lined off its first CKD unit and said deliveries were starting ahead of schedule (Business Recorder, April 2026, sponsored content).

The big plus is seven seats with a plug. We found no other seven-seat plug-in hybrid at this price in Pakistan, and at Rs 10.999 million with a charger included, the October price is about the same as a five-seat Haval H6 PHEV FWD.

A school-run week on the battery

Chery's own figure is up to 90 km of electric range, without a named test cycle. PakWheels' launch report gives 77 km on WLTP. In a Karachi summer, with the AC on full for seven people and stop-start traffic on Shahrah-e-Faisal, we'd plan on about 60 km. Taking a fifth off the WLTP figure for heat and load gives 62 km, and we round that down for planning.

Sixty kilometres covers a lot of family life — two school drops, an office commute across Lahore or Karachi and an evening grocery run often add up to 40 or 50 km.

Every evening the car goes back on the wall. The onboard charger takes 6.6 kW of AC, and PakWheels lists about 180 minutes from 10 to 100%. Our sum from empty, 18.3 kWh × 1.1 ÷ 6.6 kW, comes to about 3 hours. A 7 kW wallbox is all you need, and on most single-phase homes it's the most you can fit anyway. The included charger makes the decision for you, but check your sanctioned load and wiring first; our home charger checklist explains what to ask the electrician. The short charge time helps too, since about 3 hours means a power cut or a late night doesn't leave you short.

The weekly routine is harder without a driveway. It suits less well a family in a flat with no charging point, since it then runs mostly on petrol. For those apartment families, a host charger nearby can fill the gap. EVDost lists chargers at homes and businesses across Pakistan, and an hour on a 6.6 kW host wallbox adds about 22 km of electric driving. Hosts price by the hour, but billing runs in 10-minute blocks, so a short top-up after school costs only the blocks you use. Compare host chargers near you, and read our guide to charging when you live in an apartment.

Long trips, fast chargers and the petrol tank

Plan on about 60 km in summer, less with a full cabin. Past that daily range, the petrol engine takes over and the 60-litre tank carries you a long way.

On DC, the Tiggo 8 takes up to 40 kW and goes from 30 to 80% in about 20 minutes. That's useful on a trip, but at about Rs 115 per kWh, DC charging costs roughly Rs 31 per km by our estimate, about the same as petrol.

We couldn't confirm the plug type on Pakistani cars. Officially sold cars in Pakistan generally use Type 2 for AC and CCS2 for DC, but look at the flap before you buy cables; our plug guide shows the difference.

The bills at the end of the month

For electricity we use about Rs 55 a unit all-in, as worked out in our home charging cost guide. Petrol is Rs 377.71 a litre, as notified by the Petroleum Division for 24–26 October 2026 (Investify, October 2026). With prices reset almost every day, rerun the petrol line before you decide.

  • Charged at home, it takes about 18 units from the wall, roughly Rs 1,000, for about 62 km. That's about Rs 16 per km.
  • On petrol, the number is ours. Chery hasn't published a hybrid-mode figure for Pakistan, so we assumed 12 km/L for a heavy seven-seater, which is about Rs 31 per km.
  • For a petrol seven-seater, the Kia Sorento 3.5 at Rs 13.649 million is rated by PakWheels at 8–10 km/L (PakWheels, Sorento). At 9 km/L, that's about Rs 42 per km.
Bar chart of a month of 50 km days over 26 days in October 2026: Tiggo 8 PHEV charged at home every night about Rs 21,000, Tiggo 8 PHEV never plugged in at an assumed 12 km/L about Rs 40,900, and a Kia Sorento 3.5 petrol at 9 km/L about Rs 54,600
Plugging in nightly roughly halves the monthly bill against running on petrol.

So at 50 km a day, a nightly-charged Tiggo 8 costs about Rs 21,000 a month to run, against about Rs 54,600 for the petrol Sorento, a gap of around Rs 33,500. Leave it unplugged and you lose more than half of that saving.

With a battery this size, habits decide most of the saving. These four matter most.

Four steps for Tiggo 8 PHEV owners: plug in every night since 18.3 kWh fills in about 3 hours at 6.6 kW; plan on about 60 km of electric range in summer, not the 90 km Chery quotes; skip DC charging, which costs about Rs 31 per km; and precool the cabin while plugged in if the app allows
Habits matter more with a PHEV than with any other car.

Seven-seat and plug-in alternatives

The Haval H6 PHEV FWD costs Rs 10.849 million and claims 106 km on NEDC, but seats five. The Jaecoo J7 PHEV, from Chery's sister brand, costs Rs 9.999 million after a September cut (ProPakistani, September 2026), also with five seats. Inside the Chery range, the Tiggo 7 PHEV is smaller and the Tiggo 9 PHEV bigger, at Rs 9.499 million and Rs 14.299 million in PakWheels' September list; the Tiggo 9 is also a seven-seater (PakWheels, February 2026). Outside Chery, Kia's Sorento PHEV is the other seven-seat plug-in we found, at Rs 16.499 million on PakWheels' October list. For full EVs, which none of these are, our electric car price guide lists the main models.

The family that gets most from it

We'd put the Tiggo 8 in front of a family of five to seven with a driveway or a garage, weekday driving under about 60 km, and a few long trips a year. We couldn't find Pakistani warranty terms for the battery, the plug type or a realistic petrol-mode figure, so ask about all three. Whichever way you'll charge, get the Tiggo 8 PHEV price in Pakistan written on your booking form while the October offer runs, since the offer post gives no end date.
