BYD Atto 2 price in Pakistan, and what Rs 7.29 million gets you

Picture a Lahore family with one car, a 25 km school-and-office run each way, and a Kia Stonic or Honda City on the shortlist. That's the household BYD's smallest SUV suits best. The BYD Atto 2 price in Pakistan is Rs 7.29 million as of October 2026, for a single Premium version. That puts it about Rs 1.7 million below the bigger Atto 3, and within reach of buyers who'd otherwise spend Rs 5.5 to 6 million on a petrol crossover and a lot more on fuel.
It went on sale in January 2026, imported fully built by BYD Pakistan, which is run by Mega Motor Company, half-owned by Hub Power (ProPakistani, January 2026; Digital Pakistan, September 2026). So we've followed that family through ownership in the order they'd live it, from the showroom desk to the monthly bills.

Sources: price from PakWheels (listing opened October 2026) and ProPakistani, June 2026, which reported that BYD's prices would stay unchanged after the 2026–27 budget because they sat below the proposed duty-free limit for imported EVs. Specs from BYD Pakistan's Atto 2 flyer, January 2026, its August 2026 brochure and the model page.
One thing to clear up before you pay. PakWheels lists Rs 7.29 million as an ex-factory price, while the January launch announcement said the price included freight and inland transit insurance. Registration, token tax and insurance come on top either way, so ask the dealer for an on-road figure in writing. The booking amount at launch was Rs 1.4 million. The free 7 kW wallbox BYD offered with early bookings ended on 28 February 2026, so don't count on one now.
The single trim cuts both ways. The 360-degree camera, parking sensors and adaptive cruise listed in the flyer come as standard, because there's only one trim. There's no cheaper version and no choice of battery. And because every unit is imported, the price is exposed to the rupee and to any change in duties. BYD's first locally assembled model in Pakistan is the Sealion 6 plug-in hybrid, not this car (The Nation, September 2026).
A normal week, and the 7 kW ceiling at home
The 380 km figure is on the old NEDC cycle, which flatters every car. PakWheels notes that launch material put it closer to 323 km on the stricter WLTP cycle (PakWheels).
We plan on 18 kWh per 100 km, our standard working figure for a compact EV. On that basis a full 45.12 kWh battery gives about 250 km of mixed city driving with the AC on. EV Database's independent estimate for the European Atto 2 lands in the same place, at 18.4 kWh per 100 km (EV Database).
For that school-and-office family, 50 km a day uses about 9 kWh. A full battery covers four or five such days if you forget to plug in, though you won't want to cut it that fine.
Most nights, then, the car goes on the wall at home. The Atto 2's onboard charger tops out at 7 kW on AC. That's a good match for Pakistan, because most homes have a single-phase connection and 7 kW is about the most a single-phase wallbox can deliver. A bigger three-phase charger won't make this car charge any faster.
Our sum takes the energy you need, adds 10 percent for losses and divides by 7 kW. That gives these times.
- The everyday 20–80% top-up takes about 4 hours 15 minutes and draws about 30 units from the meter.
- A 10–100% charge before a long drive takes about 6 hours 25 minutes, about 45 units.
- On the portable 2.2 kW cable, 20–80% takes about 13 hours 30 minutes.

A two-hour cut during the night doesn't spoil any of this on a wallbox, as long as yours picks up again on its own when the power returns; ask the installer to confirm that it does. When the power goes during the day, the car can even help. A V2L socket can run a laptop or a small appliance during load-shedding.
Before you buy the wallbox, check your sanctioned load with your DISCO; our checklist for installing a home charger walks through it. Until the wallbox is in, or while your DISCO sits on the extra-load application, a host's charger nearby can tide you over. Hosts on EVDost set their own hourly price and billing runs in 10-minute blocks, so a 40-minute top-up is charged as four blocks rather than a full hour. See which hosts are near you.
The long trip: what 380 km becomes on the M-2
Motorway driving is thirstier. At a steady 120 km/h on the M-2 we'd plan on about a quarter more energy, which works out to roughly 180 km between a full battery and 10 percent. So Lahore to Islamabad on the M-2 means a charging stop on the way, not a single run. June afternoons in Lahore or Multan, with the cabin cooling hard, shave off a bit more. What heat does to an EV battery explains why, and why parking in shade helps the battery as well as you.
Range is the car's real limit. It's modest, so the Atto 2 is a city car first and a highway car with planning.
The stop itself is straightforward. The Pakistani flyer lists CCS2 for DC and Type 2 for AC, the same pair used at most public chargers here (WorldStandards). You won't need an adapter at BYD's own sites or at the motorway chargers Hubco Green has been building with PSO, such as the two 60 kW units at the Magic River rest stop on the M-2 (APP, June 2025).
BYD quotes 30–80% in about 30 minutes, and PakWheels lists 10–80% in about 37. The flyer's 82 kW peak is higher than the 65 kW EV Database lists for the European version, a reminder that Pakistan-spec cars don't always match overseas reviews.
In practice the charger usually sets the pace, not the car. Public chargers here range from 30 to 120 kW, by BYD Pakistan's own description (BYD Pakistan).
The monthly bills, set against a petrol Stonic
To compare, we've picked the Kia Stonic, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol crossover that PakWheels lists at Rs 5.5 to 5.9 million (October 2026) and rates at about 14.5 km per litre on average (PakWheels, Stonic; PakWheels, Stonic fuel average).
- Home charging at about Rs 55 a unit, all-in: 18 kWh plus losses is about 19.8 units, so about Rs 1,090 per 100 km, or Rs 11 a km. Our guide to EV charging costs explains the Rs 55.
- Public DC at a typical Rs 115 per kWh: about Rs 2,070 per 100 km.
- Kia Stonic at the 24–26 October 2026 pump price of Rs 377.71 a litre (Investify, October 2026): about Rs 2,605 per 100 km. That price gets revised almost daily, so take it as a snapshot.

Over 1,500 km a month, that's roughly Rs 16,300 charged at home against about Rs 39,100 in petrol. A gap of about Rs 22,700 a month adds up quickly.
It won't close the Rs 1.4 to 1.8 million gap in purchase price overnight, but it chips at it every week. Rely on DC charging alone and the saving drops to about Rs 8,000 a month.
Before you sign, drive these three too
Our list of every electric car price in Pakistan shows where the BYD Atto 2 price in Pakistan sits against the whole market. These three are the ones we'd drive back to back with it.
The MG4 EV Urban, at Rs 6.95 million (May 2026), has a smaller 43 kWh battery and a WLTP rating of 316 km (PakWheels, May 2026), and our MG4 EV guide compares the two in detail. The MG Binguo EV is smaller still and cheaper, at Rs 5.7 million after a May 2026 cut (Daily Pakistan, May 2026); the Binguo EV guide has its numbers. Going the other way, the BYD Atto 3 at Rs 8.99 million gives you a bigger cabin and battery for Rs 1.7 million more, which our Atto 3 guide covers.
The family this BYD suits

It makes the most sense for a household that can park off the street, put in a 7 kW wallbox and drive mostly within the city — two school runs, an office commute, weekend family visits across town. Two-car homes that keep a petrol or hybrid car for the odd Murree or Karachi trip will get the most from it. If that sounds like your family, it's the BYD we'd look at first.
Frequently asked questions
What is the BYD Atto 2 price in Pakistan?
The BYD Atto 2 costs Rs 7,290,000 in Pakistan as of October 2026, for the single Premium version. The price has not changed since the January 2026 launch, including after the 2026–27 budget. Registration, token tax and insurance are extra, so ask the dealer for an on-road quote.
What is the real range of the BYD Atto 2 in Pakistan?
The BYD Atto 2 has a claimed 380 km on the NEDC cycle, but expect about 250 km in mixed driving with the AC on, by our estimate at 18 kWh per 100 km. At motorway speeds, plan on about 180 km between a full battery and 10 percent.
How long does the BYD Atto 2 take to charge at home?
The BYD Atto 2 takes about 4 hours 15 minutes to go from 20 to 80 percent on a 7 kW wallbox, and about 6 hours 25 minutes from 10 to 100 percent, by our estimate as of October 2026. On the 2.2 kW portable cable, 20 to 80 percent takes about 13 hours 30 minutes.
Is the BYD Atto 2 good for Pakistan?
The BYD Atto 2 suits Pakistani city driving well if you can charge at home: its 7 kW AC limit matches a single-phase wallbox and it costs about Rs 11 per km at home. It's less suited to frequent long motorway trips, where its real range of about 180 km at speed means planned stops.
Should I buy the BYD Atto 2 or the MG4 EV?
The BYD Atto 2 costs Rs 7.29 million against Rs 6.95 million for the MG4 EV Urban (May 2026), and it has the bigger battery, 45.12 kWh against 43 kWh. The Atto 2 is an upright small SUV; the MG4 is a hatchback. Drive both, and compare the warranty terms the dealer puts in writing.
