EV charging stations in Lahore: area by area, and what to check first

Where do you charge an electric car in Lahore when home isn't an option? It sounds like a question a map should answer in seconds. It isn't, quite. There are more EV charging stations in Lahore than there were two years ago, mostly on fuel forecourts and in mall car parks, but operators publish very little about them, and what they do publish doesn't always agree with the official record.
We checked every public charging lead we had for Lahore against operators' own websites, news reports and the National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority's EV charging registration list (NEECA EVCI list). Fourteen sites made the cut as of 4 November 2026. For the national picture and the big operators, start with our guide to charging stations across Pakistan; this one stays inside Lahore and on its stretch of the M-2.
How we built this list
A charger only appears here if an operator, a news outlet or NEECA names it. We left out sites that only show up on crowd-sourced maps, since too many turn out to be private wallboxes or long-gone units.
NEECA's list is the best public record we have. Under its 2024 rules charging stations have to register, and the list shows the registrant, address, the site's registered capacity and how long the registration lasts. It isn't a live status page. The capacity covers the whole site, so a "260 kW" entry doesn't mean any one plug delivers 260 kW. A lapsed date tells you the paperwork hasn't been renewed, or not visibly, not that the charger is off.

Capacity figures are NEECA's registered site capacity. Sources for each row are below.
Gulberg, MM Alam Road and Main Boulevard
This is the densest cluster, handy if you work or shop in Gulberg. Go Green Avenue lists its own station on Main Boulevard, Gulberg III, on a finder page last modified in August 2026, with no power rating, plug type, price or phone number (Go Green Avenue). The same page puts its Mall of Lahore station on Tufail Road in the Cantt, while NEECA's entry gives a Main Boulevard, Gulberg III address. We couldn't settle which is right, so ask when you call. NEECA has no entry at Go Green's own Main Boulevard address, though it does list a 150 kW Go Green registration at a Hascol forecourt on Main Boulevard, Gulberg, valid to 14 November 2026, which may or may not be the same station.
On MM Alam Road, NEECA lists a Parco Gunvor registration with 60 kW of site capacity, valid to 10 November 2026. HUBCO Green names PARCO Gunvor as one of its charging partners (Profit, December 2025), but no source says who runs this unit.
Walton Road and the Cantt
Packages Mall has one of the biggest registered capacities of any Lahore site we found, 260 kW under Go Green Avenue on NEECA's list, with the registration due to expire on 14 November 2026. The mall's own website still describes an older Total PARCO "Rapid Charge" point at the Best Brands shop inside the mall (Packages Mall; Daily Times). We couldn't find out whether that earlier unit still works.
In the Cantt, LESCO's chief executive inaugurated what ProPakistani called Lahore's first 180 kW fast-charging station on Shami Road in June 2026 (ProPakistani, June 2026). The report doesn't name an operator, but NEECA's list has a 180 kW registration on Shami Road under Wafi Energy Pakistan, the company Shell Pakistan became in January 2025 while keeping the Shell brand under licence (ProPakistani, January 2025). That registration ran to 14 September 2026.
Up at Girja Chowk, PSO's EV page names Sunshine Petroleum in Lahore as its second charging site after Islamabad (PSO, updated November 2026). NEECA has it at 202 kW of site capacity, valid to 5 December 2026.
DHA and Askari XI
In DHA, the confirmed option is the Shell forecourt on Ghazi Road in DHA Phase 2, registered by Shell Pakistan at 180 kW and valid to 26 January 2027. Shell's own station finder lists a Bhatta Chowk filling station in Lahore but doesn't show an EV charger there (Shell station locator). Euro Oil's Euro-18 station in Askari XI carries another 180 kW registration valid to the same date.
Johar Town, Faisal Town and the south-west
Gas & Oil Pakistan put its first charger, an ABB unit, at its company-run outlet near the Expo Centre (Business Recorder). Its NEECA registration there lapsed on 13 April 2026. Inverex's site in Block C, Faisal Town, registered as "Invertex Motors", lapsed on 30 August 2026.
Down Canal Road, the Vital petrol pump on Mohlanwal Road has two NEECA entries, an older 60 kW one that lapsed in July 2026 and a newer, much larger one valid to January 2027, which suggests an upgrade. PSO's Bahria Service Station on Canal Road is a PSO and HUBCO Green site whose registration lapsed in October 2025, and we don't know whether drivers from outside Bahria Town are let in.
METRO opened an ABB Terra 54 at its Thokar Niaz Baig store in September 2021, which Dawn reported as the first fast charger at any Pakistani retail store (Dawn, September 2021). We found nothing from 2025 or 2026 confirming it's still in service, so treat it as a maybe.
Magic River and the M-2
Heading to Islamabad, the closest motorway charger to the city that we could confirm is at Magic River on the M-2. BYD Pakistan, HUBCO Green and PSO opened it at the PSO rest stop in June 2025. The reports differ on how many chargers there are. Business Recorder describes two 60 kW DC chargers (Business Recorder, June 2025), while Profit describes a single 60 kW charger with two ports (Profit). NEECA lists it as north-bound, with a registration that lapsed in October 2025.
At 60 kW it's a top-up stop. We'd leave Lahore close to full and treat Magic River as insurance. Our road trip guide covers the rest of the route.
Rupees per top-up
No Lahore operator we checked publishes a per-kWh price. Directory listings across Pakistan put public DC charging at roughly Rs 70 to Rs 200 per kWh, with about Rs 115 typical. Our running-cost method turns those into rupees per trip.
A typical stop, 10 to 80 percent on a 50 kWh battery, puts about 35 kWh into the car. That's roughly 194 km at 18 kWh per 100 km.

At the typical Rs 115, that's about Rs 4,025, or about Rs 21 a kilometre, nearly double the Rs 11 a kilometre of charging at home. Petrol is Rs 374.51 a litre from 3 November 2026 (Investify, November 2026), and it's being revised almost daily, so check the day's rate if you're comparing.
The gaps nobody fills: registrations, hours and plugs
Of the 14 sites, five have NEECA registrations that have already passed their validity date, four more expire before the end of 2026, and two we couldn't match to any entry on NEECA's list.

None of the operators publishes charger hours either. A forecourt open round the clock doesn't guarantee its charger is staffed or switched on at 2 a.m., and mall chargers will most likely follow the mall's hours and parking rules. As for plugs, CCS2 is the usual DC connector in Pakistan, but not one Lahore operator confirms connectors on its site. If you drive a GB/T car, read up on plug types and adapters before you go anywhere.
Six questions to ask on the phone
Ring the site before you set off. Forecourt staff can often tell you whether the charger is working today, even when the website says nothing.

Push on payment. Some operators want their own app or a prepaid card set up in advance, which is hard to sort out at the pump.
When the fast charger is on the other side of the canal
Lahore traffic can turn a short hop to a charger into an hour. On EVDost, hosts list their home and business chargers with an hourly price and opening hours. You send a request to one that's open now, the host has 15 minutes to accept, and when you finish you settle up with them yourself over Raast, JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer. The app also marks some operator-run sites as "Public charger", with directions. At those you pay the operator at the site, not EVDost, and only a few are listed so far. Find a charger near you before you commit to the drive.
For everyday driving, charge at home or near home, keep one or two of the Gulberg or Cantt sites in mind for emergencies, call before you rely on any of them, and treat Magic River as a top-up rather than a plan. We'll update this list as operators publish more and registrations are renewed.
Frequently asked questions
Which Lahore neighbourhoods have public fast chargers?
As of November 2026, Lahore's confirmed public charging sites cluster in Gulberg (Main Boulevard, MM Alam Road and Mall of Lahore), on Walton Road at Packages Mall, in the Cantt at Shami Road and Girja Chowk, in DHA Phase 2 and Askari XI, in Johar Town and Faisal Town, along Canal Road to Bahria Town, and at Magic River on the M-2.
How much is a 10 to 80 percent top-up at a Lahore fast charger?
A 10 to 80 percent top-up on a 50 kWh battery costs about Rs 4,025 at a typical Rs 115 per kWh as of November 2026, and anywhere from about Rs 2,450 to Rs 7,000 across the Rs 70 to Rs 200 range in directory listings. No Lahore operator we checked publishes its own price.
Can I charge an EV at Packages Mall?
Packages Mall on Walton Road is registered for EV charging, with a Go Green Avenue entry on NEECA's list with 260 kW of site capacity, valid to 14 November 2026, and the mall's site describes an earlier Total PARCO charger. Plug type, hours and price aren't published, so call before you go.
How many Lahore charging registrations have lapsed?
Five of the 14 EV charging stations in Lahore that we traced had passed their NEECA registration validity date as of November 2026, four expire before the end of 2026, three run into 2027 and two we couldn't match to the list. Lapsed paperwork and a dead charger aren't the same thing, so call before you write a site off.
How fast is the charger at Magic River on the M-2?
The Magic River charger is rated at 60 kW, according to June 2025 reports of its opening by BYD Pakistan, HUBCO Green and PSO. Reports differ on whether there are one or two units, and NEECA lists the site as north-bound.
